Find and view your pensions with early access to the UK Pensions Dashboard
In Pension Awareness Week, why not take the opportunity to get early access to the UK’s new Pensions Dashboard? You might find a lost pension and, in any case, help others by providing pre-launch feedback.
See your pension pots and pension incomes in one place
One of the first steps on everyone’s personal financial-planning journey is to get up-to-date information on their pension incomes and pension pots.
That's the purpose of the UK’s new Pensions Dashboard: to make it easier for people to see their pensions in one place, including old workplace pensions they may have lost track of over the years. Early access to the Pensions Dashboard is being made more widely available by MoneyHelper, the government’s consumer money-guidance service, as part of its Consumer Testing stage. MyFinanceFuture is helping by inviting people in our network to participate.
Could the Pensions Dashboard help you find a lost pension?
This has the potential to benefit you, especially if you may have a long-lost workplace pension, as one of the Pensions Dashboard’s roles is to help locate these.
Even though the service is still pre-launch—the deadline for pension schemes to make information available is 31 October 2026—85% of pension-scheme information is already available through the Dashboard. As its scope covers uncrystallised defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pensions across FCA-regulated personal pensions and workplace schemes with more than 100 members, including the State Pension, most of your uncrystallised pensions may already be available in the Dashboard by now.
Help improve the Pensions Dashboard before launch
Participating can also benefit others. Accessing the Pensions Dashboard early as part of Consumer Testing gives you the opportunity to provide feedback and help improve the service before its full launch.
How to access the UK Pensions Dashboard
So, why not give the new Pensions Dashboard a try? We've done it ourselves, and the process was easy.
You'll need a GOV.UK One Login, which you may already have if you submit Self Assessment tax returns or use other government online services. If not, you can create one using photo ID. You should then receive access to the Dashboard shortly afterwards.
You can find out more and access the Dashboard through MoneyHelper here.
Use your pension information to update your financial plan
If the Dashboard helps you find out more about your pensions, why not use that information to create or update your personal financial plan in the MyFinanceFuture Planner?
You can sign up for the Planner or access your plan here.
